RDA National Office

RDA Australia is recognised by Sport Australia as the peak body for equestrian sport for people with disabilities.
Our role is to support the Member Groups and Volunteers that make up the organisation.

RDAA does this in four specific ways:

RDA Australia supports State and Associate Members to enable people living with disabilities or additional support needs to experience enjoyment, challenge and a sense of achievement through equestrian activities to improve their quality of life, attain personal goals and develop life skills.

To be Australia’s foremost authority, advocate and resource for Equestrian activities for people living with disabilities or additional support needs.

The role of RDA in Australia

RDA Australia is recognised by the Australian Sports Commission as the National Sporting Organisation for people with disabilities for equine sports and is made up of membership by States and Centres throughout Australia.

Our role is to provide:

RDA at the State level provides:

May be the registered NDIS service provider

Provides State level competition opportunities

RDA at Centre level provides:

Horse riding and horse related activities according to National standards

Recruits and inducts volunteers according to National standards

Operates RDA accredited Centres, managing properties, workforce and horse care
