RDAA Staff Members
Karen Aspery - Executive Officer
Karen was appointed the Executive Officer for RDA Australia in 2010 but has worked within RDA since 2005, initially employed with the South Australian State RDA Office.  Karen has an extensive background in management, training, policy development, managing projects and managing contracts (risk management) from over 20 years in the Government sector.  She has over 8 years experience in the no-for-profit sector (community child care) and has been a volunteer since the age of 8 in numerous roles.  To the role of Executive Officer of RDA, Karen brings an understanding of all levels of the organisation.  She has been a volunteer at RDA, a centre committee member, State Office employee and is currently an RDA Level 2 Coach and an RDA National Assessor.  Karen is a horse owner, having competed in dressage.  She names her career highlight as organising the demonstration sport of equestrian for the Special Olympics National Games in 2010 which led to equestrian being recognised as an official Special Olympics sport in Australia.  Karen's qualifications include Advanced Diploma in Management, Certificate IV Assessment Workplace Training, Certificate IV Contract Development (Risk) as well as her RDA NCAS Coaching qualifications.
Theresa Moore - Office Manager
Theresa was appointed Office Manager in 2011 after joining RDA Australia in 2010 when the National Office relocated from Melbourne to Adelaide.  Prior to this, Theresa worked with RDA South Australia State Office from 2006 and continued to do so until she joined the National Office full time in 2012.  Theresa is the usual voice on the phone and her main role consists of administrative tasks with a focus on organising National Meetings and coordinating the National Volunteer Awards while assisting other staff with other events as well.
Theresa holds a Certificate IV in Sports Administration (specialising in Event Management) and Certificate IV in Frontline Magement.
Outside of RDA, Theresa loves music, dancing and tennis and has a passion for studying history. 
Cheryl Kostich - Accounts Manager

Cheryl Kostich is RDAA's Accounts Manager for RDA Australia, appointed in June 2013.  A keen horse rider, having competed, bred and trained horses for many years.
A qualified Horse Safety Australia instructor and with over 20 years of experience in office administration, Cheryl is in the office on a part time basis, 2 days a week.
 Claire Harvey - Administration Assistant
Claire Harvey is the newest member of the RDAA Office, having started in January 2015 as our Administration Assistant on a part-time basis, 2 days a week.
Claire has been a volunteer with RDA SA since 2005 and gained her Level 1 Coaching qualification in 2015.  Claire coaches weekly at her local RDA Centre.
Outside of RDA, Claire is currently studying part time for  Bachelor of Science, specialising in Animal behaviour at Flinders University, which she started in 2013.  After completing her degree, she hopes to go on to become a Certified Dog Behaviourist and trainer.
