Grace Meets PM

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Federal Minister for Youth and Sport, Kate Ellis met in Parliament House in Canberra with some of the 170 athletes who will represent Australia in the 13th Paralympic Games in September 2008.

RDA rider, Grace Bowman was asked to respond on behalf of the athletes. In her response, to the Prime Minister, Grace thanked the Australian Government and the Australian public for their support of the team.

"It will be my first Paralympic Games and I just can’t wait to get over there and show the world what I can do."

This week, Grace heads to Victoria for the final team training camp before leaving for Hong Kong on August 28.

The Paralympics begin on September 6, 2008.
