Riding for the Disabled Association of Tasmania (RDA TAS) is an entirely voluntary, not for profit organisation whose aim is to provide horse riding and carriage driving to people of all ages with disabilities.
RDA TAS
- Operates 5 centres, from Burnie & Launceston in the North, St Helens on the east coast & two centres in the Hobart suburbs in the South
- Opening a new centre near Launceston
- Caters for over 76 participants to enjoy safe, stimulating, healthy therapeutic activities such as:
- horse riding
- carriage driving
- Supported by over 80 volunteers
- 11 nationally accredited coaches
- these volunteers & coaches ensure that everyone receives personal guidance and instruction during their weekly sessions
RDA TAS is part of a worldwide movement and is affiliated to Riding for the Disabled Association of Australia Ltd (RDAA).
