RDA Australia relies on the generous support of individuals and organisations to make a difference to the lives of people with disabilities and special needs. RDA Australia is a registered charity and limited company. All donations over $2 are tax deductible. RDA Australia’s role is to promote awareness of the work of RDA States/Territories and centres across Australia.

Each week over 3000 volunteers at RDA centres across Australia donate their time to assist 4000 children and adults with disabilities enjoy the therapeutic benefits of horse related activities

RDA Australia raises money to support its Australia wide initiatives including but not limited to:

Awareness Week
Coach Development Program
Covered Arena Project
Elite Athletes Training Program

Mobile Units Program
National Dressage Championships
National RDAA Centre
Training Materials and Resources

RDA States & Territories support their local centres.

RDA Centres - each individual group undertake activities to raise their own funds.

RDA Horses must be:

  • purchased, donated or leased long term
  • fed, shod and stabled
  • provided with veterinary care and attention
  • kitted out with saddlery and special safety equipment

RDA volunteers make a real difference in the lives of our riders. Volunteers can assist in a number of ways:

  • presentations

How you can help
Individuals and organisations can:

  • Volunteer time – skills and expertise
  • Raise awareness of our work through talks and sponsored events
